Not only is this cocktail a very pretty colour, it's easy to make and tastes delicious too. A daiquiri is a white rum based drink with lime juice and sugar to sweeten, also known as a rum sour, with fruit such as strawberries, pineapple or banana. Simply whiz all the ingredients with some ice in a blender and pour into glasses. If you have any frozen strawberries you can use these instead of the fresh strawberries and ice but you might need to add a little more sugar as they won't be as sweet as fresh. For a party just multiply the ingredients and serve in a large jug so guests can help themselves.
Ingredients
- 8 strawberries plus extra to decorate
- 4tsp caster sugar
- 5tbsp white rum
- 2tbsp strawberry liqueur (crème de fraises)
- 3tbsp fresh lime juice
