  • A lighter twist on the usual burgers. Using a seasoned turkey mince mixture fried in thin rounds makes delicious, juicy, healthier choice. Serve simply with salad or pop on top of toasted granary bread roll halves.

    • 500g turkey mince
    • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    • 115g fresh white breadcrumbs
    • 1tsp celery salt
    • Freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 medium egg, beaten
    • 4tbsp reduced fat mayonnaise
    • 4tbsp low fat natural yogurt
    • 1 garlic clove, crushed
    • 4tbsp vegetable oil
    • A few sprigs parsley, roughly chopped

    • Put the mince in a bowl and mix in the onion, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Bind together with the egg. Divide into 16 and form each into a thin patty about 6cm in diameter. Place on a board lined with baking parchment, cover and chill for at least 30 mins.

    • For the mayonnaise dip, mix the mayonnaise, yogurt and garlic together. Season to taste, then cover and chill until required.

    • Heat the oil in a large frying and cook the patties in 2 batches for about 5 mins on each side until lightly golden and cooked through.

    • To serve, drain the patties and serve with the mayonnaise dip, and a few parsley leaves scattered on top.
