Matthew Lewis is officially off the market after tying the knot with his girlfriend Angela Jones in Italy.
The Harry Potter star, who played loveable Neville Longbottom in the film franchise, shared his happy news on Instagram with a stunning snap of him and his new wife walking arm in arm after exchanging vows.
Captioning it with the British and American flags, the actor can be seen gazing adoringly at his American wife, who looked stunning in a fitted white satin dress with lace detail on the bodice.
Fans were delighted for the couple, with one commenting: ‘Congrats you are so cute with each other i hope you live ha happy live with each other’.
Another said: ‘Over joyed so happy for you and your Mrs congratulations!’
Matthew also took to Twitter to announce his marriage, jokingly complaining that his wedding caused him to miss watching Arctic Monkeys perform.
The band played in Rome over the weekend, but the actor couldn’t attend because of his special day.
He said: ‘Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming.’
Matthew and Angela reportedly got engaged in Paris by the Eiffel Tower in November 2016, just four months after her divorce from her first husband was finalised.
They met in January that same year, but didn’t become an item until July 2016 though, with a spokesperson for the couple confirming after news of their engagement broke: ‘They’re both over the moon. They got together in July and hit it off straight away.’
Matthew told People magazine in March 2017 that he and Angela hadn’t started planning the wedding just yet.
‘She’s American, so we’ve got quite a lot of things to discuss about location and whatnot before we get anywhere,’ he said at the time.
