Kate also shared the exciting news, writing: 'The perfect end to our holiday ... How could the answer not be yes❤️❤️'.
Fans were quick to send their well-wishes to the couple, with comments on social media. One said: 'Congratulations Rio and Katie, and not forgetting those beautiful children! 👍❤'.
Another wrote: 'Congratulations @rioferdy5 , you and your children so deserve to be happy ❤ x'.
The pair first got together early in 2017, and confirmed their relationship in the summer, as Rio posted a picture of his family on holiday in Portugal and Kate was also in it.
Just a few months later, the former TOWIE star announced she was going to end her showbiz career to focus on Rio and his family, which showed how committed the two were to their relationship.
By October, they had moved in together in Rio's house, which saw Kate fully take on the role of stepmum to Rio's three kids - Lorenz, 11, Tate, nine and Tia, six.
The former reality TV star recently spoke out about how the the trio wanted Rio to propose to her, and how they're desperate for them to have a baby together (opens in new tab).
She explained on This Morning: 'On a daily basis, they’ll ask: “When are you giving us a baby brother or sister?” I have to say: “Not yet.”'
Rio also praised Kate for becoming a mother figure to his children, following the tragic death of his wife Rebecca in 2015.
He said a few months ago: ‘I’m proud of her – she’s done an amazing job. People in her position sometimes go unrecognised.
‘She has dealt with it in a mature fashion, in a majestic sort of way.'
Congratulations to the happy couple!
