Alexandra Burke reportedly ‘splits’ from fiancé Josh Ginnelly

Strictly star Alexandra Burke has allegedly split from her fiancé Josh Ginnelly after dating for three years

Alexandra, who found fame after being crowned the winner of The X Factor in 2008, got engaged last year in Paris to stage manager Josh Ginnelly.

The couple are thought to have split last month as the 30-year-old singer has erased all traces of fiancé John from her social media accounts.

Alexandra has since been photographed without her engagement ring, and is currently soaking up the sun in Sicilia Italy with her girlfriends for a wedding sharing lots of photographs on her Instagram platform.

The pair had been together since 2016 and first announced their plans to tie the knot in January  2018.

Though waiting a while to confirm her engagement, the private star eventually took to Instagram to share the news.

Alongside a photo she wrote: ‘Smiling as I type this because it was the best day ever in Paris and so unexpected.

‘My soul mate and my love asked me something that I could only have dreamt of. Being in love is one of the most magical feelings life has to offer.

'So grateful for this amazing man in my life who has supported my family and I through so much.'

Previously, Alexandra admitted that her and Josh were taking things ‘slow’, revealing she has plans to travel and focus on her career before taking her nuptials.

Speaking to Hello! Magazine she said: ‘I always did say it wouldn't happen in 2019 because I knew I wanted to work and there's a lot more that I want to do before I get married.

‘It's about enjoying this moment in life - we want to travel a little bit more before settling down. And there's no time to plan anything!’

So, it seems the Strictly curse may have affected another of its contestant’s relationships.

Several couples have split after struggling to maintain their relationships  after competing in the BBC show.

Couples including Sean Walsh and Rebecca Humphries were affected, after Sean was caught kissing his Strictly dancing partner Katya Jones.

And last year, Love Island couple Wes Neslon and Meghan Hanson split during the show as it was believed Wes grew too close to his Strictly dancing partner Vanessa Bauer.
