Sam Claflin announces he is splitting from wife of six years
Sam Claflin has announced that he and his wife are splitting.
The Hunger Games actor has revealed that he and wife Laura Haddock are splitting after six years of marriage.
Taking to Instagram to share the news with his three million followers, the Peaky Blinders star uploaded a message to his Instagram story explaining the situation between him and actress wife Laura.
‘Laura and I have decided to legally separate,’ wrote the A-list star. ‘We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another, whilst we continue to raise our family together.
‘We won’t be commenting on this further,’ he continued. ‘Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time.’
The 33-year-old signed off the announcement: ‘Both of us x’
Laura, who has appeared in BBC’s Luther as well as a series of blockbuster movies including Transformers film The Last Knight, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and The Inbetweeners Movie, also took to her own Instagram page to reveal the news.

The 33-year-old shared the news with her 215k followers, making the same announcement in her Instagram stories.
She wrote the same identical message, starting it: ‘Sam and I have decided to legally separate’.
Sam and Laura, who started dating back in 2011, have been married for six years, since they married in a private ceremony in July of 2013.
Since marrying the pair welcomed two children together – three-year-old son Pip and one-year-old daughter Margot – with Laura giving birth to their second child just last January.
After announcing their pregnancy back in October of 2017 when Laura shared a snap of her growing baby bump on Instagram, the pair revealed that they had welcomed a baby girl last year.
Sam appeared on radio presenter Chris Evans’ breakfast show, where he shared the news.
‘It’s happy news. She’s very new and shiny. I however am not,’ he laughed.
