Scarlett Moffatt reveals the REAL reason she split from boyfriend Luke Crodden

'We friend zoned each other'

TV favourite Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her split from boyfriend Luke Crodden, revealing the real reason they called time on their relationship.

Scarlett first revealed the split via an emotional Facebook post, writing directly to her 235k Facebook followers to explain that she and Luke had finished due to a number of different things.

At the time, Scarlett said it was more Luke's choice in the end but that they both just saw each other in more of a friendly way than a romantic way.

'We both respect and love each other enough to know we need to call it a day and not be one of those couples that's off and on,' she confirmed.

'It's not that I'm being a crap girlfriend and not mentioning him it's just we are no longer together, I wish him all the luck and happiness in the world, just sometimes these things happen.'

That announcement was made on the 18th October, but as Scarlett attended the Pride Of Britain Awards on the 30th she spoke out again to explain what really happened between her and Luke.

LOOK magazine reports that the 27-year-old said: 'We're still friends.

'And I never thought I'd be able to say I'm friends with an ex… But we are – and it's not like anything has happened.

'We just sort of realised that we just like each other as friends. We just friend zoned each other.'

The pretty brunette then went on to offer advice to all her fans, telling them to: 'Keep yourself busy.'

'I've been there before where you just sit and think about what happened – don't do that, get yourself out. Even if it's just to a mates house for a cup of tea.'

Scarlett met Luke, a 28-year-old hairdresser four years ago, but it wasn't until January 2016 that they met up again and became an item, and he moved into Scarlett's London home, according to reports from The Sun.

The bearded lad even appeared on the sofa with Scarlett in the eighth series of Gogglebox, alongside her parents Betty and Mark.
