'Who are these people?' Scarlett Moffatt hits back at fat-shaming trolls

The TV star hit back at trolls who said she looked pregnant

Scarlett Moffatt has hit back at trolls who have fat-shamed her during I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here's spin-off show, Extra Camp.

The 27-year-old, who was targeted by trolls, has been left upset after comments like 'she looks pregnant' and 'my instinct tells me you are pregnant with the type of dress you are wearing and weight gain…' were plastered over Twitter.

But former Gogglebox star Scarlett chose to take the high road, and hit back with a tweet designed to make the cruel posters question their actions.

'Who are these people who think it's ok to call women for the way they look...?' she asked her 589k Twitter followers, alongside a sad face emoji. 'Too skinny, too fat, too old, not enough make up etc. What example are we teaching to the younger generation. It really upsets me that we live in a world where it's the norm.'

In a defiant follow up tweet the brunette said: 'To all the girls & women who follow me. You are amazing & beautiful.'

Scarlett, who famously shrunk from a size 18 to a size 8 in recent years, credited her weight loss to a number of factors, including cutting down on junk food, hitting the gym and of course, her workout DVD, Scarlett's Super Slim Me Plan.

But, she wants to make the point that her fluctuating weight shouldn't and doesn't define her.

As an older sister to a teenage girl, her tweets continued to make the point that the 'younger generation' need good role models, not body shamers.

Since going live, her message has been liked 15k times, and received more than 2.5k retweets, and many fans came to her defence, with one writing: 'you are looking amazing & totally look like you are loving life x'.

Another posted: 'Not everyone's like that. Just the narrow minded idiots usually projecting their own insecurities by belittling other people.'

Scarlett is currently on our screens presenting ITV2 spin-off show Extra Camp with Joe Swash, and Joel Dommett.
