  • We all know that children’s films aren’t only watched by tiny tots and this wonderful infographic, which is going viral online, shows exactly how deep and meaningful some of our all-time favourite characters can be.

The post on Imgur, which has been viewed almost 100k times in only nine hours, was originally designed by American toy manufacturers AAA State of Play.

Like so many adverts before, it features a collection of household names and best-loved characters from a wide range of children’s films and TV shows.

However, the 50 fictional names have all been picked not for their movie star credentials, but because they have completely nailed handing out life advice.

The chosen characters all feature alongside their best quotes from their time on the silver screen.

Our favourite has to be from The Emperor of China, who appeared in the 1998 Disney film Mulan. He says ‘The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.’

But Stitch, from Lilo & Stitch in 2002, comes a close second with the memorable quote; ‘Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.’

And it wouldn’t be 2015 without a reference to Disney’s Frozen popping up, with the classic Olaf line; ‘Some people are worth melting for.’

There are other classics that we remember from our own childhoods rather than raising our little ones.

Idol of mothers-to-be everywhere, Mary Poppins reminded us all; ‘In every job that must be done there is an element of fun.’

Perhaps Mary could come over to our house during the Christmas holidays if she’s so keen?

At the bottom of the poster, the creators added a note, saying; ‘Who are we kidding? Grown-ups love this stuff too!’

We think Snow White hit the nail on the head when she said; ‘You’re never too old to be young.’

Couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
