Denise Lewis has given birth, aged 45, to her fourth child and shared the happy news with her fans via an adorable Instagram video.
GB Olympian Denise Richards announced she was pregnant with her fourth child back in July, much to the delight of her fans and followers.
Posting a picture of herself in a bikini cradling her blossoming baby bump, Denise wrote: ‘Well Twitter friends, I haven’t let myself go. I’m eating for two. Excited and a little nervous even though I have been here before, but hoping for a healthy and trouble free pregnancy #number4 #oldermom #babynews.’
It’s no surprise therefore that the Olympic champion also used social media to announce the arrival of her new baby.
This time taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Denise shared an adorable video on her Instagram story.
The short black and white clip, which lasts just a few seconds, shows two tiny little baby feet and the words ‘my heart is full’ in a pretty illuminated font. Denise hasn’t posted on her Instagram grid since the beginning of the month and in true athlete-fashion it was a video showing some of her pregnancy workout regime.
She explained: ‘Squeezed in a final session in the gym. This time it was more for my mind rather than body. I’d forgotten how difficult the final weeks of pregnancy are not only physically but mentally too.
‘The waiting and wondering how the birth is going to go, what your little person is going to look like, so many things. It’s almost like waiting to perform in a big competition knowing it’s essential to keep your thoughts positive... it won’t be about medals this time. It’s about a life.’
It’s not clear how long after this post was shared that Denise gave birth but we hope she chooses to share some more details soon.
She also hasn’t revealed whether she has welcomed a little boy or girl and she’s keeping the baby name a secret for now too…
Denise and her husband Steve Finan O’Connor already have two children together, 12-year-old Ryan and nine-year-old Kane.
Denise is also mum to 16-year-old Lauryn from her first marriage to Patrick Stevens.
So has Lauryn got a little sister to even out the numbers or are the boys going to gain a bigger majority? We’ll have to wait and see…
