Jessica Ennis-Hill has announced that she's expecting her second child.

'Someone's going to be a big brother 😊 Another little Ennis-Hill on the way. So happy @andyhill18 ❤️' she wrote alongside the adorable snap.

Fans were quick to shower the couple with congratulations, with one writing: 'Wonderful news Jess - absolutely delighted for you all' and another agreeing: 'Congrats Jessica and Andy!! You're wonderful parents'.

Jessica and Andy welcomed Reggie back in July 2014, with the heptathlon champion telling followers: 'Our beautiful baby boy Reggie Ennis-Hill was born yesterday. We couldn't be happier.'

In a subsequent interview, she revealed that whilst her pregnancy wasn't planned, her son was a greater prize than any gold medal.

'Babies come when they come, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He came at a perfect time, and I'm fortunate that I was able to get back into athletics and juggle the both of them.'

'Reggie is my priority and everything has to fit around life with him,' she told The Sun in July 2016.

'Athletics was my everything, whereas now it's a huge part of my life, but Reggie is the most important thing.'

Speaking of going back to work after becoming a mum, she added: 'I felt I had a little bit more I wanted to achieve in my career. I want Reggie to look back and be proud of what his mum's achieved and know that he was part of the whole experience. Our family have been amazing – it’s just adjusting everything and making it work.'

However, in October 2016, after the Rio Olympic Games, she announced that she would be retiring from athletics, releasing a statement which read: 'I've always said I wanted to leave on a high and have no regrets'.
