  • Strictly Come Dancing star Iveta Lukosiute has taken to Instagram to share the details of her new baby, including the name which has a lovely meaning behind it.

    Iveta Lukosiute, best known for her moves on the Strictly dance floor, has taken to social media over the last week to share the details and adorable pictures of her new baby.

    Iveta announced the birth of her baby boy, in a beautiful post which showed her holding him in her arms still in her hospital bed. Born on the 24th September at 9.31am, the new mum said, ‘Welcome my baby boy πŸ™‚ born this morning at 9:31am at 7.11 lb πŸ™‚ #officiallymom #babyson #happybeyondwords’.

    And now she has revealed the name chosen for her new son, calling him Vidas in memory of her brother.

    Posting a sweet collage of photos of her new baby, Iveta announced the news in a caption that read, ‘Our son was born September 24th, 2016 at 9:31am, 7.11 lb, 53 cm long. I named him in the memory of my brother Vidas ❀️’.

    Followers were quick to congratulate and show support to the dancer, leaving lovely messages on her photo.

    One Instagram user said, ‘What a lovely name! Wishing you all the best! Treasure every day as time goes so fast. 😊’ whilst another commented, ‘Congratulations to you both and a huge welcome to the world to Vidas xx’.

    Iveta has continued to give regular updates of her beautiful baby since he was born, posting this snap of them both taking a nap on her chest on the same day as announcing his name.

    The picture shows both mum and baby looking very peaceful and taking some well earned rest.
