Aldi’s home gin tasting set is an absolute bargain
Gin fan? Aldi is about to make your dreams come true once again!
Long days and warm evenings call for a drink at the end of the day. And while a glass of red is perfect for cosy winter nights, summer evenings call for a gin.
But which bottle of plonk to go for? That's the hardest decision. A simple Gordon’s, a crisp Tanqueray or a smooth Hendrick’s? Or maybe push the boat out with something flavoured?
Well Aldi are giving you the chance to have a taste of them all so you don’t need to choose.
The bargain store is now selling these gin sets for you to take home for the ultimate gin tasting experience. The kits were launched as part of the Aldi gin festival range.
There are four 5cl bottles in each £7.99 box and you can choose from a British Flavoured Gin Tasting Pack or a London Dry Gin Tasting Pack.
The former includes the fruity Gordon’s Pink Gin that’s been flying off the shelves all summer, along with Greenalls Wild Berry Gin that blends berries with juniper and spice for a balanced tipple.

For a delicate summery flavour, the box also contains JJ Whitley Elderflower gin with orange blossom and honey and Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur for a sharp and spicy hit.
In the London Dry Gin Tasting Pack you’ll find British classic Tanqueray and Col. Rickey, which has a typical juniper and citrus flavour. Also in the set is Brokers, which blends juniper, liquorice and sweet citrus.
Plus for Parma Violet fans, JJ Whitley completes the set. This gin adds a touch of nostalgia to the box with hints of the childhood favourite (though we much prefer this alcoholic version to the little purple sweets).
If you want quality gin for a fraction of the price, the high-street supermarket is the place to go.
Recently, its Oliver Cromwell London Dry Gin even beat out Heston Blumenthal’s Citrus Sherbert Lazy Gin to win silver at the International Wine and Spirit Competition against Heston’s bronze.
Heston’s £24.99 gin, which is made exclusively for Waitrose, comes in at nearly £15 more than the £10 Aldi favourite.
‘You get what you pay for’? Maybe not in this case!
