Hands up who enjoys cracking open a cold can of orange Fanta on a hot summer’s day?

Available in 330ml, 500ml and 2l bottles and multipacks – with just 4 calories per 100ml – the flavour has already made waves in South America and South Africa over the years.

Excitement around the launch has already been building on Twitter.

One user had already snapped up a can in his local branch of Asda, and was keeping his fingers crossed for more flavour forays, writing:

'Had to treat myself to this @CocaCola_GB #FantaGrape  #NewFlavour @asda hope the bring over the Pineapple  one next.'

Another simply added: 'Fanta grape is also amazing!!'

While a third commented: 'Grape Fanta is now available in bottles in the uk. We are living in a golden age.'

The launch comes in the wake of new data from the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine – which lets users create their own unique flavour combinations from more 100 Coca-Cola brands – which revealed that Grape is the second most popular flavour, after classic Fanta Orange in the UK.

Commenting on the success of Fanta Grape Zero, and it's UK debut, Rosalind Brown, Marketing Manager for Flavours and Adults said: 'Grape flavour has proved to be a firm favourite in our Freestyle machines and we’re excited to permanently add the flavour to the Fanta zero range. We’ve enjoyed introducing an explosion of fruity new variants to the range, which we hope our current fans and those looking to try something new will enjoy.'

Other Fanta flavours that are already available to sup on include Fanta lemon and Fanta fruit twist.
