Malibu have launched a strawberry rum spritz just in time for summer

Excited for this!

Malibu’s new strawberry-flavoured rum has arrived, and it’s going to be your new summer favourite.

The brand new spirit Strawberry Spritz is a Tesco exclusive, and will be on sale from May 22nd. As well as the classic coconut flavour, it’s packed with berry flavours perfect for the summer months.

Shoppers can grab it either in store or online via Tesco.com. With over 3,400 stores across the UK, we’re sure you’ll be able to grab yourself a bottle or two!

This tempting new tipple will cost £9.50 for 75cl, with an alcohol by volume of 11 per cent, which is lower than their classic Caribbean rum.

Best served over ice, this new drink is sure to be a hit at summer BBQs and parties. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could even create your own Daiquri cocktails with it too.

For those who prefer keeping it classic, Malibu’s signature coconut rum is also available at Tesco. You can pick up a 70cl bottle for £11, perfect for whipping up a round of piña coladas. If you're a fan of the popular cocktail, you might even want to give our piña colada panna cotta recipe a go too!

Malibu have been producing rum since 1893, so they certainly know what they’re doing. The well-loved brand also has a passionfruit white rum, which they describe as being ‘perfect for when the sun's setting and the good times are flowing’.

We’ll drink to that.

That’s not all. If you want a quick pre-mixed piña colada, you can buy it in 250ml cans that are perfect for picnics or any place where you’re unable to whip out your cocktail shaker.

It’s unclear how long this new Strawberry Spritz will be on offer, but it’s expected to sell out fast now that the summer months are approaching. It’s best to get there quick to avoid disappointment.

Will you be picking this up for your summer parties? Let us know!
