The baking whizz has called it quits on the BBC show after just one series.
Nadiya has made the decision to quit so that she can launch her own cookery programme, Nadiya's Family Favourites.
Nadiya co-presented the show, thought to be BBC's replacement for the Bake Off after the hit show moved to Channel 4, alongside Zoe Ball and chefs Rosemary Shrager and Giorgio Locatelli judged the contestant's food. The BBC have confirmed that The Big Family Cooking Showdown will return for a second series but Zoe, Rosemary and Giorgio's return is not guaranteed.

The show was Nadiya's debut as a host - but now the former GBBO champion is ready for her own programme.
Speaking to the Mirror about her future plans Nadiya said: 'I really enjoyed presenting, but I’m now focusing on getting back to my own love of cook ing for my new series...'
Nadiya added: 'I wish the team the very best.'
Nadiya's new show, Nadiya's Family Favourites, will air on BBC Two later this year. The eight-part series will offer recipe ideas for all occasions including dinner parties and busy mid-week school nights.
The show description explains: 'In this new series, Nadiya shows that being a good cook isn’t just about mastering technique, the real secret is knowing just what to muster up for each occasion and creating dishes that will put smiles on everyones faces - including the cook.'
Speaking about the show Nadiya said: 'I’m delighted to be able to share some of my family's favourite recipes that I've put together to suit different times and situations, from Wind Down Weekends to Family Occasions and the comings and goings of a hectic family life.'
