Cheap alcohol champ Lidl sold three bottles of this prosecco every minute in the first week it went on sale, and now…it’s back in stock!
If you’re looking for a last minute Mother’s Day gift or just really love the Italian fizz, you’ll want a bottle of this bargain booze before it disappears again.
Lidl’s Organic Prosecco was so popular when it first launched back in October last year that 180 bottles sold every hour – one every 20 seconds.
It’s unsurprising therefore that Brits were responsible for consuming a third of all the prosecco produced in the world in 2016. This number is likely to have increased as our love of the booze hasn’t faded.
Budget supermarket Lidl regularly treats us to some blinding offers and the Organic Prosecco Spumante is surely among the best.
Perhaps part of the reason it is so popular is that Lidl claim this prosecco will leave you hangover-free.
Organic wines tend to have fewer sulphite preservatives in which is thought to be the reason behind your sore head after one to many glasses.
Lidl’s fizz is made using native Glera grapes from the sun-soaked region of Veneto, Italy. It is described as having a well balanced fizz with bright aromas of pear and white peach.
Lidl demonstrate that buying organic produce doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag. The Organic Prosecco Spumante comes with a saving of £6 compared to other Organic Prosecco products on the market and a saving of almost £5 when compared to organic wine.
However, there is one catch – it’s only available while stocks last. So if you want to try it, you had better be quick! At just £7.99 a bottle it’s hard to find a reason not to stockpile a few bottles at home.
