Christmas has come early thanks to Lidl, who are now selling magnums of champagne and prosecco from just £12.99.

What better way to celebrate Christmas or toast the arrival of 2018 at the end of this month than with a glass of bubbles? And not just any glass of fizz either – boozy bubbles poured from a GIANT bottle of champagne or prosecco.

Ensuring their shoppers have a fizz-tastic festive season, Lidl have announced that they will be selling the giant magnums of champagne and prosecco – the equivalent of 1.5 litres of fizz – from now until stocks last.

Claiming to be almost half the price of magnums at supermarkets such as Marks & Spencer and Waitrose, the Lidl Champagne Magnum could be yours for just £29.99, whereas you can get your hands on the giant bottle of prosecco for just £12.99.

Richard Bampfield, Lidl UK's Master of Wine, described the supermarket's magnum of champagne as 'perfect for Christmas festivities,' and at under £30, it's sure not to break the bank either.

'If an occasion is made more special by a bottle of champagne, imagine the impact of a magnum!' said Richard. 'Perfect for Christmas festivities, this is an attractive and tasty champagne with aromas of fresh bread and red apples with a dry finish.
