Ed Sheeran has reportedly wed his childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn in a secret ceremony.

Singer Ed Sheeran announced that he was engaged to his long-term girlfriend and childhood sweetheart Cherry Seaborn in January last year.

He shared an adorable post on Instagram, which read: ‘Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx’.

And now it’s thought that the couple have finally tied the knot. According to The Sun, Ed and Cherry said I Do at his country estate in Suffolk just before Christmas.

It was previously reported that Ed hoped to build a wedding chapel on his grounds, but the Suffolk Coastal District Council rejected the plans.

The couple knew each other from school but officially started dating in 2015 and have kept their relationship relatively private.

It’s thought that only very close friends from school and family were invited to the intimate wedding ceremony and Ed didn’t want any of his showbiz pals there.

A source close to the Shape of You singer told The Sun: ‘It was very quiet – just Ed’s oldest school pals, limited family and the priest. There were only 40 people – so no Taylor Swift, record company executives or any royals or pop star pals.

‘He wanted no fuss and he wanted it to be something entirely for them – just a tiny winter wedding.’

Although Ed hasn’t made an official announcement on his social media his fans have been quick to offer their congratulations.
