Bake Off star Martha Collison ties the knot with partner Michael Haywood
Bake Off star Martha Collison has tied the knot with partner Michael Haywood.
The former Great British Bake Off contestant, who made it to the quarterfinals of the popular show back in 2014, took to her social media pages to share the exciting news with her fans.
Posting a sweet image on her Instagram page of the happy couple covered in a shower of confetti, the newlywed wrote: ‘The most joyful day. Reader - meet my husband, @mbhaywood27.’
She followed it with a line of scripture reading: ‘‘What God has joined together, let no man separate’ Mark 10 v 9’.
Fans and followers rushed to congratulate the couple, as well as a host of well-known Bake Off contestants.
‘Congratulations both of you xx,’ commented series six winner Nadiya Hussain, while this year’s champion Rahul Mandal wrote: ‘Congratulations Martha!’

Martha, who appeared on the fifth series of the much-loved baking show when she was only a 17-year-old student, was joined by her fellow Bake Off contestants on her big day.
And as you can imagine, the happy couple, who announced their engagement last January, had a pretty killer cake table.
The series five bakers all brought along a showstopping cake to share with all the guests, including a Biscoff cake, a pistachio cake with raspberry buttercream and white chocolate ganache, a cardamom white chocolate pistachio cake, a lemon cake and a red velvet and marshmallow cake.
There was even a three-tier chocolate cake with pretzels and fudge and a tower of mararons. Sounds like our kind of wedding.
And Martha’s aren’t the only wedding bells ringing in the Bake Off tent.
Series four contestant Ruby Tandoh tied the knot to her partner of three years back in October, just a month after series seven winner Candice Brown married her partner of six years.
We wonder who will be next!
Congratulations to Martha and Michael on their exciting news!
