Best nappies: tried and tested by you

We asked some lovely goodtoknow mums to test nappies for us and tell us what they thought to make the choice much easier!

Which are the best nappies? We know that there's nobody better to review a baby product than you, the mums who use them every day so we asked 13 goodtoknow mums to review some of the most popular nappies on the market. They tested

well-known, branded nappies, which promise unbeatable protection and the cheaper supermarket nappies, to see if they do just as good a job.

Below we reveal the best nappies in every category - so you don't have to deal with any more leakages or explosions!

Newborn nappies

Best nappies for newborns and tiny babies.  

Third place: Boots newborn nappies (£2.49 carry pack)

Julie said: 'They didn't stretch very well around Daniel's legs, even though he was well within the nappies' size bracket. Although the nappies didn't leak, Daniel had very mild nappy rash.'

Baby dry nappies

Best nappies for day and night-time use.

Hazel said: 'Pampers Simply Dry nappies' absorbency wasn't great and Joseph's bottom felt wet when I changed him, so I wouldn't be happy using them overnight.'

Tara said: 'My concern is that they're a bit hit and miss and I'm not confident that they would contain a mess if my son were to make one.'

Best nappies for potty training and easier nappy changes.

Joint third: Boots easy on pants - £4.99 (carry pack)

Claire said: 'Generally Boots easy on pants were great, but on a couple of occasions poo came out of the nappy, resulting in soiled clothes.'

Joint third: Tesco Everyday Value pants - £2.99 (carry pack)

Jennifer said: 'Tesco Everyday Value pants look really basic and don't have any design whatsoever, but they were very soft, stretchy and fitted Samuel better than I thought.'
