Cristiano Ronaldo reveals the gender and baby name of his fourth child

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed on social media the gender and baby name of his fourth child.

The dad, who recently welcomed twins via surrogate, is expecting his fourth child with girlfriend Georgina.

The expectant mum is due next month, and now the couple have revealed the gender and the baby name they've picked for their new addition to the growing brood.

Speaking to fans in a live video on Instagram, the footballer revealed that he's expecting his second baby girl, and explained that he picked one name, while his girlfriend picked another one.

Cristiano's pick was Alana, while the 22-year-old picked Martina as the middle name for her first child.

'I chose the first name and Gio the second. The name of my daughter will be Alana Martina. I just want to share this with you,' the dad-of-three said. 'I think it's a beautiful name.'

The video has now disappeared from Cristiano's account but is still visible in a fan's account.

The baby Cristiano is expecting with former model Georgina will be his fourth child.

The Portuguese football player welcomed twins last June using a surrogate - a baby boy and a baby girl named Mateo and Eva, respectively.

Revealing the lovely news of the two additions to his growing family, the former Manchester United player wrote: 'So happy to be able to hold the two new loves of my life 🙏'.

He's also a dad to seven-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., but it's unknown if he also used a surrogate to have his firstborn.

Georgina, who's from northeastern Spain, and the 32-year-old started dating about a year ago, after meeting at a Dolce & Gabbana event in Madrid.

The pair confirmed they were expecting their first child in July, after much speculation from the press.

Cristiano previously dated Russian model Irina Shayk - who recently welcomed a baby with Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper - for five years, but the two split in 2015.
