Eddie Redmayne and wife Hannah welcome second child

Congratulations to Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe on the birth of their second child

Eddie Redmayne is a proud father once again after his wife Hannah Bagshawe gave birth to their second child earlier this month.

The Oscar winner and his PR executive wife welcomed a son, who they have named Luke Richard Bagshawe, into their family on March 10, and revealed their happy news with an announcement in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of The Times newspaper this weekend. 'On 10th March 2018 to Hannah (Bagshawe) and Edward, a son, Luke Richard Bagshawe, brother to Iris', they wrote.

The birth comes after the couple confirmed they were expecting a sibling for their 18-month-old daughter, Iris Mary Redmayne in November.

'Eddie and Hannah Redmayne are delighted to confirm they are expecting their second child,' they said in a statement to MailOnline last year.

In February, the couple revealed that they did not know the sex of their second child but did have a name picked out if the tot turned out to be a boy.

'It's interesting, because last time we didn't know, either, and we sort of did that thing where there was basically only one name for each sex that we agreed on,' he said during an appearance on LIVE! With Kelly and Ryan.

Eddie and Hannah first met when the actor was studying at Eton College, while Hannah was boarding at a nearby girls' school.

Hannah became his publicist and soon after a trip to Florence, where he was filming Les Miserables, romance reportedly blossomed.

Eddie and Hannah began dating in 2012 and the couple wed at Babington House in Somerset just before Christmas 2014.

They went on to confirm they were expecting their first child in January 2016.

At the time, the excited dad-to-be said: 'It's our first child, so obviously there's a mixture of emotions,' he confessed. 'Joy, excitement and a bit of fear. I can't wait. I'll be a hands-on dad.'
