The one very special detail you probably missed in Prince George’s adorable new pictures

Prince George is celebrating his birthday today, and new pictures of him were released to mark the special occasion.

The future king turns six today, so royal fans were treated to three new snaps of the little royal released by Kensington Palace.

As it’s been tradition for the Cambridges, the pictures were taken by mum Kate – who has taken most of her children’s portraits that have been released to the public.

In two of the new photos, Prince George decided to showcase one of his passions that he’s inherited from his dad Prince William – football.

We’ve recently seen him kicking a ball with sister Charlotte while they were at a polo match and his dad is the president of the Football Association, so it’s no surprise that George was wearing an England top, especially during the recent Women’s World Cup.

But while these two snaps were taken in the garden of the Cambridges' home at Kensington Palace, a third was taken in a very special location.

Wearing a pair of blue and white stripped swimming shorts and a green polo shirt, George looks like he was soaking up the sun in a beach somewhere.

The caption read: ‘This photograph was taken on holiday with the family by The Duchess of Cambridge.’

Given recent reports that Kate and William were jetting off with their three little ones to Mustique, the very exclusive and private Caribbean resort that has a no fly zone, it’s likely that is where this snap of PG was taken.

And of course royal fans were quick to gush about the adorable news snaps, commenting to say how cute little George looks.

One said: ‘Look at that adorable smile 🤗🤗’.

Another wrote: ‘Pretty sweet baby boy ✨💗happy birthday 🎂 💕’.

A third added: ‘He is soooooo sweet!!!! 😍😍😍😍’.
