Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a favourite bedtime story, as it's been revealed by their dad, Prince William.

The cute royal duo seem to be pretty close, so it's no wonder they share the same taste in books. According to their dad, the little royals and their baby brother, Prince Louis, love to hear about the adventures of The Gruffalo before they drift off to dreamland.

The sweet revelation was made by their dad William at an official royal event yesterday evening, while visiting the Tusk Rhino Trail outside Kensington Palace, where he lives with Kate and his three children.

The doting dad met with the book's author Julia Donaldson and illustrator Axel Scheffler while at the event, as the pair have decorated one of the 21 model rhinos for charity, taking inspiration from their book The Ugly Five, in a bid to raise awareness about the critical threat poachers are to rhino populations.

According to Hello! magazine, the Duke of Cambridge said he needed no introduction to the pair, as their creation is very popular in the Cambridges household.

'I know who you are. It's a big hit in our household, The Gruffalo', William told Julia and Axel.

Speaking about the model they created, he said he could see it from his house, and added: 'It's amazing, I love it. You can tell it's you guys. It's the eyes [of the animals] I think, you can always tell the eyes.'

While they're currently on display in different parts of London, the models will be sold at a Christie's auction next month, to raise money for the charity Tusk, of which William is patron.

And because little George likes the character so much, his dad also joked that it's a good thing he doesn't know the model will be up for sale, or he would be 'keeping an eye on it'. Maybe it could be his early Christmas present?
