The one thing you probably missed during Princess Charlotte’s Trooping of the Colour appearance

Princess Charlotte was at Trooping of the Colour alongside her family, but you might have missed a very intriguing change in the little royal’s look…

The four-year-old has been attending the special event for three years now, since 2016.

And while it was through that Prince George and Princess Charlotte were old enough to travel on the carriage with mum Kate this year – just like their dad and uncle did at their age – they stuck with the balcony appearance so we’ll have to cross our fingers until next year.

The princess was first pictured waiting inside Buckingham Palace, where her hair could be seen pulled back off her face, with a blue bow atop her head.

But as spotted by HELLO! online, Princess Charlotte later appeared on the balcony with a completely different hairstyle.

This time she had a half up-do, leaving her hair to fall down her back, and no bow.

Mum Kate was clearly a fan of the second hairstyle, as she was spotted sweetly playing with her daughter’s hair.

This year’s Trooping of the Colour was extra special for the Cambridges, as it marked the first time little Louis joined them on the balcony.

The one-year-old was too young to make an appearance last year, but he made the delight of royal fans as he enthusiastically clapped and waved at the crowds.

We all know Charlotte has been the professional waver in the family until now, but could Louis be coming to steal her crown? Maybe she’s just been giving her little brother a few lessons on how to master the royal wave – and they’re working!
