Pregnant Kate reveals her favourite thing about being a princess

Her answer is seriously sweet

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge has opened up about life as a royal, and revealed her favourite thing about being a princess.

The 35-year-old made the sweet remark during a surprise appearance at Paddington Station in west London - her second return to the spotlight since announcing her third pregnancy.

Speaking to primary school students Amelia Kubas, seven, and Mahira Gazi, 10, who are both supported by the charity Place2Be, of which Kate is a patron, she was asked what the best thing about her position in the prestigious family was - and her response, as reported by HELLO! magazine, has melted hearts across the country.

'I asked her what's it like to be a princess, because I'd like to be one, and she said her favourite thing was meeting special people like us,' Mahira explained.

Kate attended the appearance alongside husband Prince William and his brother Prince Harry, and the trio were seen laughing and chatting with the assembled guests, as well as meeting the cast and crew of the film Paddington II, including actor Hugh Bonneville.

Mahira's question was not the first time that Kate's been quizzed about her position as a princess during an official engagement.

In January 2017, she paid a visit to a hospice in Quidenham, as part of her work as patron of the East Anglia's Children's Hospices charity, and another youngster, Daisy Benton, four, asked her a very similar question.

'Daisy asked her what it was like to be a real princess and Kate said she's very well looked after by her husband. Daisy is four and absolutely loves princesses,' Daisy's mother, Michala, revealed after the event.

'Kate also said about her kids that Charlotte and George run in different directions all the time. She was very down to earth and was happy to sit with [Michala's other daughter] Isabella.'
