A company is offering to pay someone £40,000 a year to trial slippers
As the cold weather sets in, getting up and going to work feels less and less appealing. Can’t we just sit in our pyjamas all day?
Well thanks to footwear brand Bedroom Athletics, you could be doing just that. They’re offering someone the opportunity to try out their slippers to ensure they’re as comfy as possible.
The company would send you a range of slippers to try out, and you’d be responsible for delivering reviews, assessments and ratings in return.
You’d be required to wear them for at least 12 hours in a 24-hour period, but that sounds dreamy to be honest!
Not only would you get lots of free slippers, but also you’d be paid for two days a month on a pro-rata salary of £40,000. That’s around £4,000 a year.
There’s all sorts of designs to choose from such as memory foam slippers, faux fur slipper boots (cosy!), and classic mule and moccasin designs.
According to Bedroom Athletics' website, 'everyone has the right to slip those tired feet into complete heaven, and discover ultimate relaxation with the softest, lightest, yet snug materials between them and the sheets. A pair of luxury slippers and loungewear make the perfect recipe for a cosy night in putting your feet up.'

We couldn't agree more!
Addressing the role, Howard Wetter, Director of Bedroom Athletics said, “Being paid to do nothing but wear slippers all day might seem like a fairly trivial job, but it’s extremely important to us here that our products are of optimum comfort for those choosing to order from our website.”

He added, “We therefore believe that welcoming an official brand tester to our team will be invaluable in gaining insight and feedback for the continual improvement of our slippers.”
But, have you got what it takes to be the perfect slipper tester?
Speaking about the perfect candidate Howard added, “Members of the public who often get cold feet would be perfect candidates, especially as we head into the colder months, as we want to make sure we’re keeping all our customer’s toes cosy during winter.”
If you think you have got what it takes, you can apply by emailing info@bedroomathletics.com.
You’d need to include your name, date of birth, job title, whether you wear slippers, and 100 words on why you think you’d be the right fit.
Applications close on 18th November, so they’ll be picking the candidate when it’s really starting to get cold.
