  • Prince Harry was by Meghan Markle's side as she launched her first solo charity venture, but turns out he might have had another hidden reason to attend the event...

It was revealed last week that Meghan Markle would be launching a cookbook to support the survivors of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.

Following the announcement, there was a celebration at Kensington Palace to commemorate the launch of Together: Our Community Cookbook, which is Meghan’s first solo project as a royal.

Prince Harry made sure he was present at the event to support his wife, alongside his mother-in-law Doria, but turns out he might have had another reason to be there.

Chris Ship, ITV news Royal Editor, spotted the cheeky prince sneakily stealing a few samosas and hiding them behind his back – and the whole thing was filmed.

While Harry thought his heist had gone unseen, he grins at the camera as soon as he realises he’s been caught.

The journalist wrote alongside the video: ‘I could be wrong but I reckon we’ve caught Prince Harry red handed stealing some samosas from the Meghan’s ‘Together’ cookbook event they were at today!! Have a watch…’

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Duchess of Sussex helped cook for the event, so her husband will probably be able to convince her to cook some just for him at home.

The book is described by its publisher as a collection of ‘simple Eastern Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and North African recipes, many of which have been handed down through generations, honed and perfected over the years’ – which of course includes Harry’s favourite, samosas.

Speaking about the project, Meghan said at the event: ‘Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labour of love. I had just recently moved to London and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen, your warmth, your kindness, and also to be able to be in the city and to see in this one small room how multicultural it was.’
