Asda launches bargain wine and champagne offer just in time for Christmas
There’s no denying that alcohol plays a bit part in the run up to Christmas.
As soon as November hits, the chamomile tea mugs get stashed away in the cupboard and the champagne flutes come out to play and are polished to look as sparkly as the bubbles themselves.
Christmas classic Baileys is also always sure to make an appearance at some time throughout the month, either on the drinks table or dessert menu.
You can’t let a December go by without warming up with a glass of mulled wine, be it a pre-mixed bottle or your own mulled wine spice blend.
And after a hot summer of drinking gin on tap, even the aromatic spirit has been given a yuletide twist.
So leading supermarket Asda is giving you a chance to stock up on the bottles just in time for Christmas with their top wine and champagne deals.
The retailer is offering shoppers 25 per cent off selected bottles of white wine, red wine, prosecco and champagne, including award-winning wines and showstopping champagnes.

There are indulgent Christmas classics like Chateaneuf-Du-Pape and Bordeaux blends available with savings of up to £27. Or you could stock up on easy drinking favourites like the crowd-pleasing Campo Viejo or choose from a selection of Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs for less than £5 a bottle.
Or if you want to splash out on Champagne, take your pick from popular names like Lanson, Bollinger, Taittinger and even the glamourous Moet & Chandon Rose with savings of up to £52.
But you better be quick if you want to stock up before Christmas, as the offer won’t be running up until the big day.
It’s available now in-store and online and will be running until Monday 10 December, just in time to get the shopping done before the Christmas parties kick off.
'We know our customer’s love a bargain – at Asda we want to help them enjoy excellent quality wines for less with this great deal,' said Asda wine buyer April Rogers.
'Our customers can stock up on their old favourites or sip their way through some new tipples – or do both by mixing and matching. There’s something for every taste.'
Looks like we’re going to be popping bottles all the way until January (dry or not...)!
