Lidl launches the ‘croll’ – a croissant roll for breakfast lovers
Budget supermarket Lidl launches a new croissant with a twist – a croissant roll nicknamed the 'croll'.
The nation loves a croissant for a tasty breakfast treat.
And, budget supermarket Lidl are pulling out all the stops with its most recent breakfast innovation– the 'croll' – the latest of the popular food mash-ups.
Lidl launches a hybrid croissant on trend with the 'cronut' (croissant/donut), the 'cruffin' (the croissant/muffin) and the 'duffin' (donut/muffin).
Croissant fans are bound to be excited for Lidl's latest foodie innovation.
Lidl says the 'croll' is a mixture of the taste and texture of a traditional croissant, but with the same shape and structure of a classic bread roll.
This means, stuffing full your croissant with the sandwich filling of you choice will be far easier when you’re rushing to put together your breakfast before heading out the door for work.

You’ll be pleased to know the 'croll' launched in all Lidl stores yesterday - and, only costs 49p.
Lidl promises that the 'croll' means less mess – and of course, we have all experienced a flaky croissant that leaves a mess down our top.
So, thanks to Lidl the 'croll' is designed for maximum enjoyment without the mess.
And, if you’re feeling adventurous this BBQ season, the 'croll' can be used as the perfect burger bun alternative for those who want to tuck into the breakfast treat all day long.
Richard Inglis, head of buying at Lidl said: ‘This summer we want to help our shoppers get Big On BBQs, whilst remaining Lidl on price. The Croll is a deliciously versatile creation, which is sure to add the WOW factor to summer entertaining.’
The croissant hybrid can be stuffed full of either savoury or sweet fillings.
Lidl suggest serving the 'croll' with the British summertime favourite strawberries and whipped cream.
Or, if you want to stick to the classic choice pack your 'croll' with ham and cheese and melt it under the grill.
Food mash-ups have proved extremely popular in the past, so we are sure croissant fans are going to be raving about Lidl’s latest breakfast addition.
