Chocolate and pomegranate mousse are made with dark chocolate and fat-free fromage frais for a quick and easy dessert that's guilt-free too. They're ready in 20 mins and come in at just over 100 calories per serving! The chocolate mousse is creamy and light, plus there's no added processed sugar in the recipe - just maple syrup or honey, whatever you prefer. The pomegranate seeds on top add sweetness and a pop of fruity flavour - and they're super pretty too! These individual desserts are a quick and easy way to make desserts all round!
Ingredients
- 50g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3tbsp cocoa powder
- 150g fat-free fromage frais
- 2tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 3 medium egg whites
- 100g pomegranate seeds

Method
Put the chocolate in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water. Once it has melted, add the cooca powder, fromage frais and maple syrup. Heat and mix until it's smooth and combined - don't let it get hot. Leave to cool.
Whisk the egg whites, slowly at first, then on a fast speed until stiff, but not dry. Scrape the chocolate mixture into one side of the bowl with the eggs, then fold together. Spoon the mixture between 6 cups. Chill for 20 mins, then top with pomegranate seeds.
