Emmerdale’s Charley Webb has revealed a condition that has left her in agony during her pregnancy.

The 31-year-old, who is best known for playing Debbie Dingle in ITV soap Emmerdale, is currently expecting her third child with husband Matthew Wolfenden, which the couple revealed back in February.

However, she has now revealed that not only is she still experiencing morning sickness but her pregnancy has also led to her suffering from another condition that has left her in agony.

‘I still get waves of sickness,’ the expectant mum told OK! Magazine, ‘but I’ve also been diagnosed with SPD [symphysis pubis dysfunction, which affects your pelvis and back].’

‘It’s when your muscles have relaxed too much ready for the birth. It’s agony.’

The mum-of-two went on to elaborate on her feelings about pregnancy, saying: ‘I’d be lying if I said I really enjoy the experience of getting bigger but I appreciate what my body is doing.

‘I think pregnancy is amazing,’ she added.

Charley also revealed that she and 39-year-old husband Matthew, who married in a secret wedding ceremony early last year, differ slightly when it comes to their birth and parenting preferences.

‘Matthew’s up for a home birth,’ said Charley, but I’d like to be in a hospital for the sake of my own anxiety, in case anything went wrong.’

And although this is only the third child for the couple, the expectant mum added that ‘Matthew would have 10 kids if he could’.

The Emmerdale pair are already parents to nine-year-old Buster and three-year-old Bowie and discussed having a third baby when Bowie was just four-months-old.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, dad-of-two Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in the ITV soap, said ‘While we are still pretty knackered now we might as well go for number three and keep that knackeredness ball rolling.’

Hopefully things get better for Charley and she is able to enjoy the rest of her pregnancy!
