Kensington Palace confirms Kate and William’s Christmas plans

Kensington Palace has confirmed Kate and William’s Christmas plans, and it seems the Cambridges are heading to Sandringham again…

The now family-of-five usually alternate where they spend the holidays, as the Duchess of Cambridge is very close to her family, the Middletons.

Last year, William and Kate spent Christmas with the Windsor clan, in what was a first as Meghan was allowed to join the festivities despite only being engaged to Harry at the time.

It marked the first time a royal fiancée joined the royal Christmas celebrations before they officially join the family at the Norfolk estate, as not even Kate had that privilege back in 2010, a month after they announced their engagement.

Royal fans and experts had predicted they would opt to head to Berkshire this year with their brood of three, but according to Vanity Fair, the Palace has now confirmed they will spend Christmas with Harry and Meghan again.

Meghan’s mum Doria is also expected to join, so it will be a full house!

This will be an extra special Christmas for the Cambridges as it’s little Louis’ very first holiday season, and we bet will be spoiled despite his very young age.

George and Charlotte will also probably be very excited to be heading to Gan Gan’s royal estate, as Christmas with the Windsors means they get to open their presents on Christmas Eve – a German tradition the Queen has kept due to the family’s origins.

The little royal duo will however miss out on grandma Carole’s sweet Christmas tradition - she revealed she sets a Christmas tree up in each of her grand children's bedrooms, so they can decorate it themselves.

Even without the Kate, William and the three little ones around, Carole will still have a little baby to spoil, as Pippa welcomed her first child in October.

Her baby son, reportedly named Arthur, will be around three months old when the big day comes around, but it’s not confirmed whether Pippa and husband James will be spending the holidays with the Middletons or with the Matthews family.
