Meghan Markle set to do something no other royal has done before

Meghan Markle officially joined the Royal Family last year, and now she’s set to do something no other royal has done before…

The new mum is currently on maternity leave – after welcoming her first bundle of joy Archie in May – but it seems she’s still busy at work behind the scenes.

Just last week, she made a surprise appearance with her husband Prince Harry at a baseball game in London in support of the Invictus Games, and multiple reports have previously suggested the Duchess is set to guest edit British Vogue’s September issue.

But while appearing in Vogue has been done by plenty of other royals – such as Kate Middleton, Princess Diana and Princess Anne - it turns out that her foray into the fashion publication might be a bit different.

According to DailyMail.com, Meghan is in talks with prestigious publication Vogue to be a regular contributor following reports that she will be guest editing the September issue.

A source told the Daily Mail: 'The spread in Vogue won't be a superficial photo shoot – on the contrary, she wants to use it as a platform to make a difference.

'She is working with Vogue as a contributing editor on a few fabulous stories about the causes that are near and dear to her and it may eventually become a regular column.

'Anna Wintour is also part of the talks and is in discussion about running some or all of the stories in US Vogue.'

The Duchess of Sussex will reportedly use this opportunity to showcase charities and designers she supports.

'It's all being planned out but it will be sensational and really shine a spotlight on some very worthwhile organizations’, the source added.

Meghan and Harry are now looking to set their own path when it comes to their charity work, after splitting from the foundation they shared with Kate and William.
