Royal fans gush after Meghan Markle reveals Prince Harry's sweet nickname
Meghan Markle has revealed the sweet nickname she has for Prince Harry during last night's ITV documentary about their South Africa royal tour.
- ITV documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey aired on Sunday evening.
- During an interview, the Duchess revealed that she has an affectionate nickname for her husband Prince Harry.
- This follows royal news that Prince George has a latest ‘obsession’ according to his dad, Prince William.
Speaking to journalist Tom Bradby, Meghan opened up about life as a member of the royal family in the spotlight. She spoke to him about marriage and motherhood, and revealed that she calls Prince Harry ‘H’.
In the clip, Meghan said, “In all honesty, I have said for a long time to H - that's what I call him - it's not enough to just survive something, that's not the point of life.”
She added, "You have got to thrive. You have got to feel happy, and I think I really tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip."
Twitter users rushed to comment on this, with many of them loving the sweet nickname that the Duchess of Sussex gives to her husband.
One said, ’Meghan Markle calls Prince Harry “H” in private and I honestly nearly just cried’

Another added, ‘What an amazing couple! Genuine, loving and passionate! They care about the work and organisations they support and each other!! On a side note I adore that she calls him “H”’.
A third said, ‘Meghan calls her husband H. I can’t!’
However, Meghan also revealed that she was struggling under the pressure of trying to have a ‘stiff upper lip’, as she added, “I tried, I really tried, but I think what that does internally is probably really damaging and the biggest thing that I know is that I never thought that this would be easy”.
She added, “But I thought it would be fair and that’s the part that’s really hard to reconcile”.
Her honest interview has received lots of support from fans on social media. One wrote, ‘This full chat with Tom and Meghan is so raw. A remarkable, intelligent, compassionate woman who deserves absolutely none of this abuse. Listen to her, how can anyone even try and justify it?’
The full documentary is available to watch via ITV Hub, with journalist Tom Bradby given exclusive access to interview both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during their royal South African tour.
