Why Prince Harry is in for a very special weekend with wife Meghan Markle and baby Archie
The Duke of Sussex will be celebrating his very first Father’s Day as a new dad.
Prince Harry is in for a very special weekend with his wife Meghan Markle - but could this mean we get to see baby Archie again?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed baby Archie last month, and they've since been enjoying their first foray into parenthood.
But this weekend is set to a special occasion for the Duke of Sussex, as he's expected to celebrate his first Father’s Day at home in Windsor with his wife Meghan and baby Archie. But we think there’s a good chance we’ll catch another glimpse of the new royal baby on Instagram on Sunday…
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared an adorable picture of Meghan cupping Archie’s feet on 12th May, in honour of US Mother’s Day. The post included a heartwarming tribute to Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, with her favourite flower, forget-me-nots, featuring prominently in the background.
‘Paying tribute to all mothers today,’ the couple wrote. ‘Past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We celebrate each and every one of you.
‘Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe. This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex.’
The post also included a quote from Lands by Nayyirah Waheed, which read: ‘My mother was my first country; the first place I ever lived.’

With over 2 million likes from the couple’s 8.5 million followers, plenty of people will be waiting to see how the Sussexes decide to mark Father’s Day.
And while fans were disappointed that Meghan opted to leave Archie at home when she appeared at the Trooping of the Colour last weekend, which she is said to have found ‘very difficult’, we’ll soon get to see his first official portraits.
The first official portraits of a royal baby are usually taken after their christening, when they are about three to six months old. Baby Archie is expected to be christened this summer.
Last summer, photographer Matt Holyoak took the first official portraits of Prince Louis at Clarence House after his christening at the Chapel Royal.
But first, Harry, Meghan and Archie have got Father’s Day to celebrate – we hope new daddy Harry has a wonderful day!
