Princess Charlotte has taken up another hobby loved by Prince George and the Queen

Princess Charlotte is the same age as the Queen when she started riding...

Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte is two years younger than her big brother Prince George but she's quickly following in his footsteps and is racking up her own list of hobbies too...

Princess Charlotte appears to be very confident and cheeky when she's in front of the world's cameras so it comes as no surprise to learn that she is eager to take part in whatever her big brother Prince George is doing.

Princess Charlotte's sassy little character is likely to leave her wanting to try everything Prince George does so it's lovely to learn that she has started a hobby also loved by their great grandmother – horse riding!

Prince George started learning to ride earlier this year and was being taught by Prince William's cousin Zara Tindall.

The Queen started riding when she was three-years-old and it's thought that Princess Charlotte has had an interest in the activity since she was just 18-months-old.

Proud mum Kate has previously spoken about Charlotte's passion for horses and her hopes that she might follow in the footsteps of Zara to compete professionally.

When Kate was welcoming home Team GB from the Rio Olympic games back in 2016 she told Equestrian triple-gold medallist Natasha Baker that Charlotte adored riding.

Natasha recalled: 'I asked her how the children were and she said Charlotte is really enjoying her riding which is great to hear and I said we may see her here on a line-up in 20 years time.

'She emphasised that Charlotte has this passion about horses and although she doesn’t echo it, she’ll do her best to champion and encourage it.'

As well as Princess Charlotte following in George's footsteps, this year he'll be joining his sister in a new activity when he starts school – ballet!

Prince George and Princess Charlotte are already known to ski, cycle, play tennis and football and have fun cooking up homemade pizzas with their mum.

Is there anything these little royals haven't tried?! Poor Prince Louis is going to have lots to catch up on...

We hope there's pictures of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the Queen all riding together soon – just imagine how cute that would be!
