The world got their first glimpse at the newborn that very same day when Prince William and Kate Middleton emerged from the hospital to introduce the new addition to the royal family to the world.
Wrapped in a white blanket and wearing a matching hat, little Prince Louis looked adorable as his proud parents waved to the world’s media.
Kate, 36, looked radiant in a red dress and nude heels – despite having given birth just hours earlier.
After four days of speculation, Kensington Palace finally revealed the name of the little prince on Twitter on April 27: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. Two weeks after his birth, Kensington Palace released two official pictures of Prince Louis with his sister Princess Charlotte.

The Palace captioned the images: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by The Duchess at Kensington Palace.
