  • Welcoming a baby into the world is a biggie for any expectant mother. Long gone are the nights cradling a vino in peace, hello to being covered in baby sick and enduring sleepless nights.

However, one expectant mother has sparked the admiration of countless social media users – after discovering she was about to become a mother of triplets!

Maria, who hasn’t shared her surname,  has amassed a huge following on Instagram and is now preparing for an almighty lunge into second-time motherhood in front of her 64,000 followers.

Most recently the 36-year-old, who hails from Copenhagen, Denmark,  shared a weekly comparison picture of her growing bump progress throughout her triplet pregnancy – documenting her growth from week twelve right up to week 34.

Captioning the incredible picture, Maria writes: ‘What a journey this has been! From the huge shock of learning there were three, to people’s reactions, the numerous scannings/checks and all the preparations and planning for this life changing event. Nothing like the ordinary.’

Speaking of her blooming baby bump, she then adds: ‘It’s strange to have ended up with such a big belly and it’s even stranger that it can stand out like that without falling down!’

Maria, who is already a mother to two-year-old son Mikael,  also took to her social media to inform users that she will be expecting the arrival of her three new bundles of joy in the next few days.

Sharing a snap of herself lounging on the sofa, Maria writes: ‘Good to know there are only 4 days left, and that I won’t have time to be bored for the next 18 years.

Maria and her husband Anders are incredibly lucky to have experienced becoming parents to triplets after conceiving naturally, as the odds of conceiving triplets without any treatment, such as IVF, is thought to be roughly one in 4,400.

We’ll be keeping an eye on Maria’s Instagram account for any triplet arrival updates!
