Zara Tindall reveals the 'hardest thing' about her heartbreaking second miscarriage
The royal has given an incredibly candid interview regarding her family heartbreak.
Zara Tindall has opened up about the two heartbreaking miscarriages she had before the arrival of her youngest daughter, Lena.
In November 2016, the royal revealed that the pregnancy she’d announced the previous month had sadly ended in miscarriage.
In July this year, Zara revealed she'd also suffered a second miscarriage before becoming pregnant with their second daughter Lena - who was born in June of this year.
The former Olympian and granddaughter to the Queen has shared how suffering two miscarriages affected her during a candid interview with BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent.
Speaking of her relationship with husband Mike throughout the harrowing experience, Zara has explained that the 'hardest thing' was how highly publicised their family heartbreak had been.
Zara said: 'I think that's the hardest thing in our situation, is that everyone knew. And very much when things like that happen, normally it’s just your family and friends, but unfortunately everyone knew about it.'

However, the royal then added that she and ex-England rugby captain Mike received a lot of support from the public: 'Actually I had so many letters saying ‘I’m so sorry, we’ve been through the same thing’, which was incredible - and thank you to all those people.'
Candidly, Zara explained: 'Being helpless is horrible... It’s been a horrible road but, you know, actually now we've come out the end of it, hopefully it makes you a stronger family.'
Zara also revealed that her heavily pregnant attendance at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal nuptials had been quite an uncomfortable experience.
'She [Lena] was quite active during the whole service. She was kicking a lot.'
Many viewers of the royal wedding noted the mum-to-be's somewhat pained facial expression during the ceremony - and we now know the cause.
The family appear to adjusted to their latest arrival, with Mike recently sharing how their oldest daughter Mia is enjoying being a big sister.
