  • Do you wish your lunch had a bit more of a kick to it? If so, Greggs’ newest bake will be right up your street.

The high street bakery chain has launched their Cajun bake, which is perfect for any spice hounds out there. Greggs’ new creation is filled with Cajun style chicken breast, spicy tomato sauce, onions and peppers, and wrapped in a pastry with a paprika crumb.

If that’s enough to get you rushing to your local Greggs, their new bake will cost you just £1.50, making it a super cheap lunch option, which comes in at 432 calories.

Even better, if you want to go cheaper than that, frozen supermarket Iceland will be selling them at £2 for two, which is hard to say no to if you really love the taste of the Cajun Bake. Stock up whilst you can!

They’re only around until 1st September, so it’s definitely one to make the most of over the summer months. Since we’ve had such a dreary June, maybe these fiery bakes will help to turn up the heat a bit? We sure hope so.

There are currently no plans to extend the life of the new Cajun Bake, so unfortunately it joins the Festive Bake in the limited edition category. On the plus side, we’ll be able to tuck into that delicious cranberry bake in a few months time, and we’re excited already.

Greggs have soared in popularity recently, due to the launch of their vegan sausage roll, which made headlines and got everybody talking. It’s now a permanent product and available nationwide, delighting non-meat eaters (and even some meat eaters!) everywhere.

Will the Cajun Bake be as successful as the viral vegan sausage roll or the coveted Festive Bake? Only time will tell. We’re looking forward to trying it for ourselves.
