Paddy McGuinness vasectomy operation

TV presenter Paddy McGuiness has revealed he’s undergone a vasectomy operation and shared graphic details of the procedure in an Instagram video.

The 45-year-old comedian took to Instagram yesterday to share a very honest post of a series of images and videos revealing he is recovering from a vasectomy operation.

The Top Gear host referred to the procedure as a ‘doddle’ and shared graphic detail of the operation as he sat at home recovering with a towel of ice on his private area.

Alongside the post, the father-of-three wrote: ‘Home now after having the auld snippy snappy snoo. Currently resting up with a bag of ice on my nadgers. #vasectomy #testicletuesday.’

Sharing a video, Paddy said: 'Well patient McGuinness is home. I've gotta tell you, gentleman if you're thinking of having a vasectomy and you're a bit reluctant as I was...

'The initial anesthetic they give you in the old pippins - I'm not going to lie that's tender. That made my eyes water but after that's it's a doddle... I'm currently resting up at home with a towel full of ice on the nickedy nackedy noos.'

Paddy’s good-humoured approach to the operation has been well received, and his fans and friends soon commented on his post wishing the star a speedy recovery and praising his honesty.

One said: ‘Takes balls to do what you done 👏 well done 😂 hope you recover quickly.’

Another added: ‘'Its a shame more men dont think like you have. They expect us to go through an operation that is far more serious after also having the children!!!. Well Done Paddy...x... Paddy you are the best you always make me smile take care xxx'.

The Take Me Out presenter has three children with 31-year-old wife Christine – five-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and two-year-old daughter Felicity.

Paddy and Christine have always been very open about their family life, frequently speaking about Penelope and Leo’s autism diagnosis, and revealing Felicity has also been showing signs of the condition.

Speaking previously on Loose Women, Christine revealed that her and Paddy did have plans for six children.

She said: ‘[We] wanted six children – but we are done” – adding that her decision was “not because we don’t want another autistic child, but we are stretched because the children do have autism, it’s hard to manage your time.’
