The Chase's Paul Sinha reveals very sad news in emotional post

The Chase's star Paul Sinha has announced he has Parkinson’s Disease.

The professional quizzer, known by the nickname ‘The Sinnerman’, posted a tweet saying that he will ‘will fight this with every breath I have’.

He also shared his diagnosis and experience in a candid blog post, asking people to treat him ‘exactly the same as before’.

Paul Sinha wants to remain on popular ITV quiz show The Chase, where he’s been a Chaser since 2011, and to keep doing comedy, quizzes and writing.

The former doctor said he was diagnosed at the end of May after ‘two years of health problems’.

Paul is a qualified GP, but soon realised he loved the stage and decided to pursue a career in comedy and performance instead.

In the post, he wrote: ‘I spent May this year in New Zealand simultaneously having the comedy month of my life, and worrying about why a right-sided limp was now getting worse.

‘Behind the facade of the cheerful, late-night comedy festival drunk was a man deeply scared about facing the truth when back in the UK.’

He admitted he’d had a ‘really, really tough two weeks’, having to cancel a number of events including the Edinburgh Fringe, the World Quizzing Championships to have brain scans, and performing club sets whilst ‘emotionally bewildered’.

Paul also reassured fans that he intends to ‘keep Chasing, keep writing and performing comedy, keep quizzing and keep being hopeless at Tasks.’ Despite the diagnosis, he seems keen to live life to the fullest.
