Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could have a new bundle of joy arriving soon, and here's why...
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child (opens in new tab) less than six weeks ago, but royal fans reckon the pair could be thinking about adding another little one to the family – and they’re staking their hard-earned cash on it.
Prince Harry just celebrated his first Father’s Day as a dad (opens in new tab), but it seems fans are convinced the two will have another baby next year, as a flood of bets placed on Archie welcoming a little brother or sister next year.
William and Kate had Princess Charlotte less than two years after their first child, Prince George, but the bookmakers reckon Harry and Meghan could close the gap.
Archie, the couple’s first son, was born on 6th May, weighing 7lbs 3oz. And now Coral have cut the odds on Harry and Meghan having a second child next year to an astonishing 10/11 after being swamped by bets.
‘We have been inundated over the last few days with bets on Harry and Meghan having a second baby in 2020,’ spokesperson John Hill confirmed.
‘And as always with gambles of this kind, there is seldom smoke without fire.’
As they slashed their own odds to 6/1, Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apatis agreed: ‘Baby fever could soon be taking over the Royal Family once again and despite only giving birth a matter of weeks ago, we wouldn’t be surprised if Harry and Meghan have the bug.’
But don’t get too excited just yet: remember, before Archie was born, the bookies had us expecting a royal baby girl! And a flurry of bets on a double birth also saw the odds slashed on Harry and Meghan having twins.
Could we be set to welcome another new arrival next year? Our favourite royals do like to keep us guessing…
