Great British Bake Off’s Rosie praises crew for handling her nut allergy
We all know how serious some allergies can be and one TV star has thanked her production crew for helping with her particular one.
Great British Bake Off contestant Rosie Brandreth-Poynter has praised the show’s crew for managing her nut allergy.
GBBO fans waved goodbye to the veterinary surgeon on last night’s episode, following a particularly difficult Patisserie Week.
Rosie has praised the production team for managing her allergy throughout the show. She says members kept her baking equipment completely separate from the other contestants.
She explains that the show even employed a Nut Runner, to ensure everything was kept safe for her.
After her elimination, the Great British Bake Off shared a message from Rosie on Twitter.
It read, 'The crew were incredible – they managed my nut allergy so well and kept everything safe – including the awesome NUT RUNNER - how many people can put that on a CV?

'Thank you to everyone for the lovely messages of support - especially over the past week - they really do mean so much to me!'
Rosie penned another message, which was featured on the GBBO’s website. In it she thanked the team for being 'incredible and flexible'.
It said, 'I have a nut allergy so I was so amazed that the production team took that on board, had me in the tent and had to adapt certain practices for filming, everyone worked around it so well, the back room production team were incredible and flexible.'
The semi final saw the four remaining contestants go head to head.
Despite winning the technical, Rosie failed to impress the judges with her mini cakes and her edible glass showstopper, which was described as "simplistic" and "dry”.
Paul and Prue did, however, admire her concept.
Rosie's departure means that she will not be competing in next week’s final. As a result, David Atherton, Steph Blackwell and Alice Fevronia will battle it out to be crowned the winner of Bake Off 2019.
The winning contestant will receive the iconic cake plate trophy.
