Prince George sent orders for personalised baby gifts skyhigh when he was pictured in a blue gingham robe back in 2016, and now the company behind it have reached their one millionth order!

Prince George is just as much of a style-icon and his mum Kate Middleton and sister Princess Charlotte is seems...

This year he made it into Tatler magazine's best-dressed in Britain list and we've been admiring his cute little shorts since day dot.

However it was back in 2016 that the young prince really made his impact in the fashion world.

When Prince George was spotted in a My 1st Years personalised dressing gown he sent shoppers into a frenzy and the dressing gown sold out in just seven minutes!

The eldest of the Cambridge's children was photographed wearing the dressing gown when he met Barack Obama during the former US president's state visit to Britain.

The evening robe was back in stock 30 minutes after it sold out and it has remained one of the company's most popular items.

My 1st Years not only boasts the Cambridges as its customers, but also Sir Elton John, Beyonce and Olympian and dad-of-four Mo Farah.

Daniel Price and Jonny Sitton founded the company back in 2010 but it was Prince George that catapulted them into the limelight and they are now expanding into the US market.

The co-founders spotted a gap in the market for personalised baby gifts and in just eight years it has grown into the UK's biggest personalised baby and children's gifting website.

My 1st Years have over 500 gift-wrapped products available to order including personalised toys, robes, blankets, bed, bath and home accessories.

Given how popular the dressing gown was after Prince George was spotted in it, this year the company launched a royal collection with Prince George and Princess Charlotte lookalikes.

When Prince Louis was born the company saw sales increase by 250 per cent!

So while Princess Charlotte might have a bigger net worth than her brothers, this goes to show Prince George has a lot of influence too and Prince Louis might be in the running to overtake both of his siblings...

Speaking about the sales, Daniel Price, Co-Founder of My 1st Years, said: 'Having built the brand up from scratch eight years ago when we left University, there have been many incredible moments – this is now up there with expanding in to the USA and achieving the ‘impossible’ when Prince George was pictured wearing our gown with Barack Obama.

'These successes are no coincidence and we strive to be bigger and better every day.'

He added: 'Hitting the one-million order mark is a time to reflect, enjoy but most importantly, push for our next ‘moment’ – we can’t wait for the future.'

Perhaps My First Years will be trying to get Prince Louis in one of their gowns for his first birthday next year...

Imagine how cute it would be if all three of the little royals were photographed in matching gowns – we'd LOVE to see that picture!
