Use this code word to get two free crumpets at Morrisons Cafes this half term
Free crumpets with butter and jam are back at Morrisons after the offer's huge success over the summer holidays

Families can enjoy two free crumpets with butter and jam at any Morrisons Cafe as part of a new initiative, just by asking for Ellen.
The Ask for Ellen campaign, a joint venture between Warburtons and Morrisons, is designed to help families struggling with the cost of living crisis. The initiative first ran over the summer holidays – with 200,000 portions of crumpets given out throughout July and August! And now it's back for half term.
With 100,000 portions up for grabs, the offer is available all day in any of Morrisons' 395 cafes, until 5 November, while stocks last. While Morrisons might not be the cheapest supermarket, offers like this can provide some relief for families struggling with high food costs.
Goodto.com's Money Editor Sarah Handley says: "Half term can be an expensive time for parents trying to keep kids entertained while they are off school. And with the cost of living still high, this campaign comes at the perfect time. It's a way to get the kids out and about and fed, for free."
Why is it called 'Ask for Ellen'?
The Ask for Ellen campaign is named after Warburtons founder Ellen Warburton, and is part of the bakery brand's ongoing commitment to tackling food poverty. The Warburtons Foundation has donated more than one million bakery products to schools and food banks since October 2022, and aims to reach 1.25 million products by September 2023.
Jonathan Warburton, Chairman of Warburtons, says: “We had an overwhelmingly positive response to our Ask for Ellen initiative this summer and surpassed our target by giving out 200,000 portions of crumpets nationwide. We know many households are still feeling the squeeze due to the cost of living crisis which is why we wanted to team up again with Morrisons to offer a little support to families throughout the break.”
If you or your children don't like crumpets, then a visit to your nearest Morrisons cafe is still worthwhile as it continues to offer its Kids Eat Free promotion daily, which means families can receive a free kids meal when purchasing an adult meal costing £4.50 or more.

But Morrisons isn't the only place with this kind of offer, we've found a whole host of other establishments where kids eat free.
The Ask for Ellen campaign comes after the success of the Ask for Henry initiative, where Morrisons partnered with Heinz to give away a free jacket potato and beans in its cafes.
