Prince George's school shoes aren't as expensive as you might expect

Fans of Prince George think that they've discovered where his school shoes are from - and they're not as expensive as you might expect.

The eagle-eyed observers behind the royal blog What Kate's Kids Wore noticed that when George arrived for his first day of school earlier this month, he was sporting little loafers that looked like they could have been from Spanish brand Pisamonas.

'George's shoes look quite similar to this pair from @pisamonas_UK, tho' his have a higher gloss,' they noted.

And when they reached out to the brand to ask if this was the case, Pisamonas quickly responded, saying: 'Hello! Based on recent orders, we think it may be the case, yes.'

The shoes in question are the store's 'school moccasins', which retail at £38.95 - not cheap for a pair of school shoes, granted, but not the designer numbers one might have expected for a boy who is third in line to the throne.

Pisamona describe the shoes as 'classic and elegant moccasins, premium quality and easy to combine,' adding that they come with 'flexible leather insoles for a more comfortable wear and anti-slip rubber soles for a better grip on the floor, but still really flexible to cushion the step correctly.'

The rest of George's Thomas's Battersea uniform consists of a smart navy and red jumper, a pale blue shirt, his trademark shorts, and black ankle socks.

It's thought that when the summer comes around, George can swap his sweatshirt for a short-sleeved shirt and white sun hat, whilst in the winter, he'll add a a navy waterproof reversible jacket.

The Daily Mail reports that the total cost of his uniform, including items for creative activities and sports, is likely to be £368.40 in total.
