Fireworks: south London 2019
Battersea Park fireworks
What could be more atmospheric than watching a beautiful fireworks display on the banks of the Thames? Feast on wintery treats and enjoy the hues and pinks and purples reflected on the water! This year's epic 22 minute display has been given the theme 'Power' so expect exciting things from the award-winning pyro-technician team. Despite the 50,000 capacity, tickets are expect to sell out fast, so don't forget to get yours in advance. When? Saturday 3rd November - gates open at 6pm and the bonfire is lit at 7.30pm Where? Blackheath fireworks
Trek up the hill to the heath and see the skies lit up by the spellbinding Blackheath fireworks. The display is one of the biggest free community events in the capital and attracts up to 100,000 people each year, and as always, this year it promises to be a fun evening of entertainment with a funfair from 12 noon, bar and food (and other stalls) from 5pm and the main display which starts at 8pm. Crystal Palace Fireworks
Two displays, starting with a children's display of colourful fireworks and fewer bangs early at 7pm, followed by a main display set to music - at 8.30pm. There will be a variety of food and drink stalls available. Note, there's no parking, but the area is well served by public transport. When? Monday 5th November Where? Alexandra Palace fireworks festival
This mesmerising spectacle, stretching over two days, combines fireworks, lasers and music for a truly unique fireworks experience. There really is something for everyone at this event - little ones can enjoy a winter festival with carousels, a helter skelter and even an ice rink, while grown-ups can sample The German Bier Festival, featuring traditional products, Bavarian foods and wonderful music. Harrow fireworks display
Enjoy a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to music that the whole family will enjoy in Harrow. The Harrow fireworks display is popular with locals and visitors alike - so use public transport to avoid driving if you can. There are plenty of trade stands and stalls, full of local businesses and craft sellers - because it's never too early to think about Christmas shopping, plus a fun-fair and - for the adults - a licensed bar area.
